Of course there is always some shit head on twitter that complained that Niall was the last to post. Niall was also the last one of the boys to see him alive and it probably fucked with him the most. Give people some grace, Jesus.

I remember people did the same with Matthew Perry and were getting annoyed when the Friends cast hadn't posted asap. Like ffs, you're not entitled to other people's grief.

The one direction post about it literally was like give us time to process our grief and don’t demand we post, too.

People did that with the cast of Black Panther when Chadwick Boseman passed too.
I can't recall if it was Lupita Nyong'o or Letitia Wright who took a week or so to put out a statement. There were people making rude comments on-line about the "delay".

I know Elizabeth Olsen quit social media because of it.

Fans forget that just because you follow someone's work doesn't mean you know them like a coworker or family member does. Like, Jesus, let people grieve without needing to meet some bizarre criteria that proves they care.

People who demand celebs publicly post about their grief (and asap) are such losers.

I honestly don't even know why anybody cares this much.

people were blaming niall on his Instagram posts, saying it's his fault liam died bc liam was in aegentina for niall originally. I need everyone to back off niall and maya. it's not their fault.

Oh that's some nasty bullshit.

Liam, unfortunately, was abusing hard drugs and alcohol. When you're impaired like that you are a risk to yourself wherever you are, and this could as easily have happened in his own home with a fall down the stairs. Blaming Niall is vile.

It's fucked that celebs have to correctly and publicly perform grief for the people they were close to. I can't help but think of the shit Paul McCartney got for his response to the passing of John Lennon. The pressure must be insane in the digital age.

When my grandpa passes, I doubt I will post on social media about it. People think social media is the end all be all of people's lives when it's not. There was so much unfair pressure for the boys to post
