I thought it was a practice not to report about a method of death? Is it because it’s not being reported as a s* and simply how he passed? I’m not even reading any reports/articles but the headlines and tweets alone are so graphic.
i think whenever the death is caused by an accidental fall, it's normally reported. and as far as i know, that's what liam's death is being considered. like, I'm also thinking about how SOPHIE died in an accidental fall from a roof, and it was reported that way.
idk how things are classified but from what i've read he was severely intoxicated/high and acting erratically. i think he could've thrown himself over but i don't think he was in a mindset to understand what he was doing, so idk if that's still considered suicide.
It comes down to the coroner to decide on the cause of death (they’ll look at autopsy results, toxicology, witness statements, forensic evidence, etc.), but in that case it would be death by misadventure rather than dying by suicide.
Someone posted a group chat of someone who allegedly worked at the hotel and they were sending messages as it was happening, and they said he was attempting to jump into the pool but fell on the patio
It's best practice to avoid details of suicide methods, because it's been shown to inspire a spike in copycat attempts, but general descriptions of death are considered okay. 'A fall' would probably be considered generic enough
