I didn't even realise that was thanksgiving week. I do retain customer service on the phone. Blackout starts 11/22. The new rule this year is we are not allowed to go off the phones for1 minute or we can lose our jobs. So to ask permission because I literally cannot make it to the toilet and back in less than 30s. Not even if I ran. Which is so abusive and no one cares

it most likely isn't, but if they don't have a union they're shit outta luck, is my understanding. Call centres are truly hell on earth to work at - I'm in Australia but they pull similar shit here, written warnings for 'taking too long' in the toilet. The stress of that definitely won't make your bladder clench up and not be able to pee 🙄
