She’s continually overlooked for a promotion at work, the guy she likes won’t commit, and her dad is really, really sick. Then everything in her life turns upside down. I’m annoyed at the changes from the book. The first episode was waaaaay too dark.
Poor Tink.

I haven't read the books so are the changes major or minor? The Tink part was so unnecessary!

The are major. I’m annoyed tbqh.

She is in a long term relationship with the guy who works for her father. They live together and he’s cheating on her with a girl from work.

The realtor/childhood bully is captive in her parent’s house.

She has a group of close friends called The Pixoes.

Tink is alive the entire first few books. Maybe the third …

I don’t know if you’ve watched all the episodes yet but any other info is major spoilers.

I watched the whole series so spoil away whatever else they changed!

Craig was a fuckboi either way, but cheating on your live-in girlfriend is way worse than texting back emojis.

Does Marcus exist in the book?

One thing that seemed very unrealistic was her boss's abrupt change in attitude. The kind of man who throws his coat over the receptionist's head every morning doesn't seem likely to take her side over his favorite reporter overnight.

Marcus is not in the books at all.

She kills Julia in the books btw. She kills her midway through.
She kills a bunch of people in the books and frames Craig for the murders.

She also begins an affair with AJ and gets pregnant and she kills him as well.

The boss is worse in the books. She takes a picture that gets front page and her coworker takes credit for it.
all the changes are really unnecessary. We also don’t get the fun snark that permeates the book.

She’s soo witty and droll, it’s the best part of the book. When they stated the book was being made I thought it was going to be like a female You.

They made her timid and meek in the series.
I didn’t care for the changes. The last book in the series gets released at the end of the month. I can’t wait. I’ll pretend the series didn’t happen.
