Honestly all of this is just giving me Hillary vibes where there was such a STRONG PUSH for her to win and....we end up getting Trump. It's literally repeating itself.
I want to be wrong. Hope to be wrong. But I don't trust the necessary voters in the battleground states to do the right thing.
I want to believe it's not a repeat of Clinton v Trump, but then I see a Stein voter and realize we have no group coordination.
Even though I think the majority of people are anti-Trump, they're just not motivated to put a vote to neutralize a vote from one of Trump's golems who views this like it's a football game. I am very, very nervous because Trump supporters view this as a Superbowl event, so they will make the effort. I don't trust lazy "I hate Trump, I'm not political" people to help block the obvious worst choice, the man who killed 700 people just via COVID contracted at his rallies.
I asked someone posing as a black man on twitter, who was falsely equivalenting Harris to Trump, and whose main argument is that she's an Indian woman pretending to be black, "so why are you voting for Trump?"
"I probably won’t vote… I don’t care for either one of them. Trump is Trump & Kamala is a puppet."
I felt slightly better that black men who are being extremely fucking sexist are probably not going to make the effort for Trump either... but I don't know if enough anti-Trump Harris voters will turn out, especially with (sorry bbs but it's true) idiots insisting on third party votes.
A skipped vote doesn't benefit Trump the same way a third party one does.
The only thing that's similar to 2016 is the 'boTh SidEs aRE the SamE DURRR!' crowd is still spewing the same old bullshit and casting their votes for Jill Stien like the losers that they are. I want to believe more people are aware this country won't survive another four years of Trump.
I want to be wrong. Hope to be wrong. But I don't trust the necessary voters in the battleground states to do the right thing.
