I know the news stories concentrate on these being powerful and rich men, but as time goes on, I really just know that it's most men. Most men would but don't get the chance or don't have somebody to help them get away with it. Look at stuff happening in South Korea and Japan. Morality doesn't keep most men from doing this shit. Lack of opportunity keeps them from going to certain levels of violation.

I've been watching a lot of the Rotten Mango YouTube channel and omg i did not know how deep the misogyny and brutality went in South Korea. Her two part series on the Nth room was horrifying. I just finished her video about the Burning Sun scandal. The absolute jokes of the sentences compared to the crimes, and the dehumanization of the victims. These men legitimately hate women. It's terrifying.

after that French case where the husband is on trial for recording his wife being abused by over 70 men in 10 years, every time a man complains when we say "all men are possible rapists" I reinforce the statement. they all are given the opportunity. Not one of them in that case thought "wow what this dude is doing is vile, I'll report it", they all went for it because they had the opportunity. so yes. all men.

With so many cold cases getting solved in recent years thanks to DNA, I've come to a similar conclusion. A lot of these seem to be one-off crimes that happened because a man had opportunity.

One thing I find particularly fascinating is that many, many men will try to sell the lie that it's less than 1% of men doing all this stuff. When the numbers are clearly much, much, MUCH higher.

I used to be one of those fools who believed in misandry and such because I grew up with really great men around me. But the last 20 years of actually living in the world has changed me completely. I would rather insult men as a group over and over again than underestimate the harm they do.
