October 11, 2024 Zachary Levi, 44, is allegedly “bitter” his career didn't pan out the way he wanted it to, or so an insider that has known him for years claims while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter. “When he was cast as Shazam, it was literally his dream,” claimed the insider. “He thought this was his ticket to being The Rock or Chris Evans. But it didn’t happen for him, and he’s bitter about that.”
THR adds that Levi doesn’t live in Los Angeles anymore, he now lives on a cattle ranch in Texas. There he’s been focused on faith-based projects, like 2021’s Christian-themed American Underdog and The Unbreakable Boy. “Indeed, Levi has leaned so far into faith-based productions, it’s beginning to look as if his endorsement of Trump - and his courting of a conservative fan base - was more a savvy career move than professional suicide,“ wrote THR.
