Same here. Like I've been warned that they're...idk, regressive? But I was also raised on regressive horror, so that shouldn't stop me. But something keeps stopping me.

Same! I have no idea what it is. I'm a Halloween year round type of person, but I can't get into the Terrifier films at all.

yeah something about it icks me out. i did see someone the other day say they watched the first one and it felt like the director really hates women sooo... a hard pass from me (but idk if other women who have watched it would agree)

I've seen the first one and I'd agree. It's incredibly violent for shock value but doesn't have anything to say, so the whole thing just feels like an excuse to torture a woman for 80 minutes.

I've heard that the second one is even more brutal but also has a plot. Idk if that's a good thing or not. It also goes for like 130 minutes, so no thanks.

even if their ~intention isn't misogyny they just seem so....ya know.
