Genuinely every music biopic looks and feels like a parody at this point. They ALL lack authenticity in my opinion, this one being no exception.

I agree. Who are these biopics for anyway? People who don't like documentaries? And if so, are these the same people who won't watch movies with subtitles?

Any biopic is so tough. It’s so weird when a “paint by numbers” movie is done well because you can’t even say how it was well done.

Exactly.
That’s the reason I really liked the Steve Jobs movie by Sorkin. A lot of people didn’t.
But I really think he did a great job of breaking free of the usual biopic format.

Ooooo that’s a good one! I wouldn’t say I loved it because I swear there’s a “behind the scenes” of the people who made Jobs successful that needs to be researched and made but it was good.

Ashton Kutcher has his issues but I weirdly have a soft spot for how much he tried in that Jobs movie 😂
