I wonder if she's got a shot to win any category at the Grammys? I imagine she'd have luck at in the dance fields.

I thought Rosalia was gonna be on 'everything is romantic'?

idk, I was reading that there was drama because Charli and Dua are on the same label and the label strategically didn’t submit “Houdini” so that Charli would have a better chance of winning leading to Dua fans and Charli fans fighting. I can’t remember what category it was specifically but I think it was in Dance. I checked goldderby and I think Dance Pop Recording? I don’t know what her odds are in Dance because I’ve heard the voters there are very particular and dislike voting for outsiders but she definitely doesn’t stand a chance in the general field.

I think these are categories she'd have the most luck with. I'm not sure about the general pop fields which is a different category. But I think the dance/electronic and remixed categories are where she could dominate!! I can't think at who had a better dance/electronic summer than BRAT!! I think they're hers to lose.

Dua and Charli are on different labels though? Charli is on Atlantic and Dua is on Warner. Only one of Charli's album was on Warner UK. Regardless Brat had the better reception on both sides of the atlantic cause I heard Dua did better in the UK vs the US. So I think Charli is in a better position over Dua.

Lmaoo maybe the Charli and the Dua fans were fighting for no reason, then. Charli and Dua are friends anyway. I haven’t seen them together much recently but I remember immediately post pandemic peak when the world started opening back up they were always clubbing in Ibiza together with Tove Lo. Likely place for those three to be.

She is not winning any of the pop categories, which will probably be a fight between Sabrina and Billie with Chappell as a dark horse and Lady Gaga/Bruno for pop duo. As I said, the dance category is cliquey and dislikes outsiders but they’re not as bad as the country category-I was just looking at Wikipedia and they had no issue awarding Beyoncé and Renaissance just a few years ago, so if they like the album, they’ll let her in their clique.
She probably has a good chance at Best Dance Pop Recording which was made exactly for artists like her. I don’t know much about Best Remixed Recording.

Oh damn I forgot about Billie! Billie, Sabrina, and Chappell will be duking it out in the pop fields which leaves Charli safe in the dance/electronic fields.

I think the remix categories could go with girl, so confusing ft. Lorde or guess ft. Billie. I think I heard guess is being put forward in some category which probably favors Charli cause Billie seems well-liked enough by the voters.

the people on goldderby seem to think Charli has a great chance at Best Dance Album as well, but not Best Dance/Electronic Recording which they gatekeep for actual dance artists- they made Best Dance Pop Recording to move dance pop to it and keep dance pop out. so i think her best two chances are Best Dance Pop Recording and Best Dance Album.

i didn't realize her Grammys record was so bad??? i knew she hadn't won any but i didn't realize she literally has only been nominated twice, in contrast to someone like Lana who also hasn't won any but gets consistently nominated. that said, Lana getting consistently nominated vs. Charli having two nominations doesn't seem to matter because i think Charli is winning one first.

yeah, i like girl so confusing more than guess but she absolutely submitted guess because she knows Billie is Grammys catnip lol.

I think she'd have a chance for the remixes with Billie and Lorde. I don't think Von Dutch was as impactful. She would do well with the Electronic and Dance categories and also the Pop ones you suggested, especially the collaborations. She's totally going to get nominations. Just don't know if she'll win any because the next ceremony is going to be filled with so many competing nominees. I realized that she may be able to submit nominations next year since the remix album is coming out this Friday.
