Ok, is this show any good? The previews that have been spamming my fire stick all day look really gooood.

But, I don’t want to be disappointed if it doesn’t live up to my most recent 3 faves: castlevania, the dragon prince, and arcane.

Anyone recommend?

Season 1 is great, the second one is a bit less so, but it's worth giving it a chance. For now Season 3 seems to be interesting.

I'd say so yes give it a go, from the three you have listed I have also seen and really liked Dragon Prince and Arcane.

The animation is more in the realm of Dragon prince I'd say, it is definitely geared towards an adult audience cause the creators are not interested in keeping images and language PG.

While it is based on a played DnD campaign I feel they have managed really well to take what happened there and turn it into a plot for a scripted show. Season 1 is one complete arc, season 2 covers parts of the second arc of the campaign which I think season 3 will finish.

like others, i came to this show as a fresh viewer with zero background knowledge about the source material, and i really enjoyed it. i liked s2 a bit more than s1 because of a particular sub-story that i can't mention without getting spoilery but which i thought was incorporated really well and captivated me.

if you're a fan of "band of misfits fall ass-backwards into saving the world", i think you'll enjoy this.

I wasn’t familiar with the game sessions (my boyfriend is), but I really enjoy the series! Of your list, I’ve watched (and loved) Arcane and I’d say Vox Machina is more humorous but still has plenty of drama.
