Liam and Zayn stay being the worst of the 1D lot, I'm so glad I didn't stan either one of them during my 1D stanning days.

I would never have pegged Liam to be as horrible as he turned out, especially at the beginning when he was seen as "the dad" of the group. Zayn had a bit of a public image renaissance when it looked like he settled down with Gigi. But the fallout from that breakup made him persona non grata as it should've.

Niall and Harry seem to be the most booked and unbothered. Louis I have no idea, I never hear or see anything about him anywhere... I just googled him... had no idea he still did music, the more you know!

The stanning in the early days was probably the most fun I had on the internet. Yes it was a little unhinged and very para-social, but the ontd_1D community - i think it was- was pretty fun circa 2012. I tapped out a year later and did not get anywhere near the Larries thing.

I was a HUGE neopets addict from 2004-2009ish! I was an avatar girlie and was part of an avatar guild. I considered getting back into it a while ago but decided to start playing Stardew Valley instead.

Was it really the break up with Gigi (including the abuse) that made Zayn persona non grata? Or was it the fact that he refuses to perform or promote his own music?

People suck, and I feel like if he’d had a couple solid bops and one decent SNL performance or something, he’d still have a pretty massive fanbase unfortunately.

The vibe I always got with Liam is that he’s dumb but also sort of thinks he’s better than everyone else in the band. I think he thinks that he deserved to be the success story from the band and can’t stand that Harry is. Maybe due to having been on Xfactor before the rest of them or maybe he just genuinely thinks he has more talent.

Jealousy is not a good look on anyone and I kind of feel sad for him because he does have a nice voice but he’s doing so much to destroy the good will people had for him when he was in the band by being snarky about the others and so obviously and embarrassingly fame hungry. Like take a step back and just get yourself together, Liam. Make something that is genuinely you, and not a sad, decades-late Timberlake facsimile that doesn’t work, that is if you haven’t burned all of the bridges you had and can still find someone to work with you.
