Zayn’s history with physical altercations isn’t great in general. His fans would always say it wasn’t his fault but this man was fighting Bella Hadids friend shirtless in the streets of NYC at one point. Liam had his own history too. He tried to fight a security guard and Maya also detailed abuse in her book.

This isn’t surprising but I wouldn’t say for sure either of them were for sure “in the right” in this particular instance. People just like zayn more/hate Liam more

Yeah, both Liam and Zayn are terrible people. Their particular beef with each other could easily swing either direction, but I think the reason people sided with Zayn comes down to the messenger being Liam’s ex.

Zayn wasn't just accused of shoving Gigi's mom, he was booked, charged and went to court, where I believe he pleaded no contest and was sentenced to a year on probation, fined, and ordered to take anger management classes.
