He definitely seemed like one of her better relationships but a rarity in her relationship history.

He was definitely one of her handlers and I'm at least 80% certain towards the last year they were together they were very much living in separate homes. Especially when Brit would always make videos or take pics in the old home but Sam would always make IG videos from the new house she bought, even months after she bought it.

exactly. besides, the whole “people accept the love they think they deserve” is absolutely a thing, so you can’t expect a woman who was taught most of her life that she’s incapable of making decisions and that her worth is essentially her ability to make money to suddenly have enough self-worth to lead a healthy her personal life.
