‘The Princess Diaries 3’ in the Works at Disney With Director Adele Lim

Filmmaker Adele Lim, who wrote the scripts for Disney’s 2021 animated film Raya and the Last Dragon and Crazy Rich Asians before making her directorial debut with last year’s R-rated female comedy Joy Ride, will direct The Princess Diaries 3. “As a die-hard fan of the original Princess Diaries, I’m beyond excited to be a part of bringing the third iteration of this beloved franchise to life,” she said in a statement to Deadline, who broke the news. “We look forward to celebrating its core tenants of female power, joy, and mentorship with audiences worldwide.”
Flora Greeson is writing the script. The film will be produced by Debra Martin Chase, who originated the film franchise.
