Yeah I remember thinking of all her relationship at the time Calvin and Taylor was the strangest? Especially Calvin cause I guess at the time he was feeling himself but I never got the feeling he liked all the extra attention when I would see them at award shows together. I even wondered if he was one of those guys that gets intimidated by the women having the bigger fame. But then the whole "this is what you came for" drama happened and I thought she came off shady for that.

I believed Calvin when he later said in an interview a few years after the break-up that he's never been completely fine with fame because I remember he went verrrrry under the radar the minute he broke up with Taylor and has remained so ever since. He only pops up when he dropping new music. Personally I think he was testing the waters back then but I think he realized he never wanted that level of fame when he was with Taylor and bounced.

It's funny cause I'm re-reading Taylor's statement on why she chose not to reveal that she co-wrote the song with him:

"I think, when a pseudonym comes in is when you still have a love for making the work and you don't want the work to become overshadowed by this thing that's been built around you, based on what people know about you. And that's when it's really fun to create fake names and write under them. I wrote under the name Nils Sjöberg because those are two of the most popular names of Swedish males. I wrote this song called "This Is What You Came For" that Rihanna ended up singing. And nobody knew for a while. I remembered always hearing that when Prince wrote "Manic Monday", they didn't reveal it for a couple of months."

Which is funny how contradictory that all is to her personality.

Although reading this tmz article on that reveal now makes me realize she caused all that drama to justify her later affair with Tom lol.....she probably wanted out of the relationship lol

Yeah I just remember never thinking Taylor and Calvin had any chemistry but Swifties insisting they were a power couple and sooo in love with each other and then it all went down in flames. And it’s happening again, anyone with eyes and not seeing things through Swiftie colored lenses can see zero chemistry (and you can also compare how Travis acted with his exes to how Travis acts now, the man is just like Calvin someone who can’t hide it when he’s in love yet there’s nothing now) but Swifties will continue to insist but it’s all going to go down in flames sooner or later. I’m thinking sooner because they’ve outstayed their welcome by the gp and everyone who’s not a Swiftie is sick of them now but I could also see them making a show out of an over the top wedding only to divorce a year later or something like that. As I said to someone else I don’t feel bad for Travis since he was fine throwing his ex under the bus for more fame. He got what he wanted for sure.

I honestly don’t know that much about Calvin but yeah he does seem lower key now. I think he has a good level of fame tbh where he can still live a normal ish life while putting out songs and hanging out with celebs (just looked at his Instagram and he’s a Liverpool fan always hanging out with Liverpool players) and he seems very happy with his wife who is absolutely stunning lol.

Yeah Travis is def benefitting more than Taylor in this relationship, she's the one truly wasting her time. Oh Travis will be fine cause I'm sure the NFL fandom will duke it out with the Swifties. He'll probably even enjoy if Taylors writes about him cause he can talk about it on his podcast with Jason lol.

Yeah Calvin went off the grid and basically lived in Vegas for the last decade I think I heard him in an interview. It's funny how some of the more recent Taylor's exes end up going more private after dating her. Can't blame them cause she really requires an ungodly level of attention and press which I think would spook most normal people. That's the only aspect of Travis that fits perfectly for her but his ambitions def aren't as refined~ as she'd probably like....even she's not exactly refined either lol.

Yeah I was just thinking about it and there’s no way Travis is not getting lashed when they break up lol when he’s the boyfriend who’s used her for fame more than anyone else… when he had the European Swifties staying up until 4 AM in their time zones to watch his games… but, if he can get his act together and play a little better, he will be fine because he will have the NFL fans to back him up. Piqué is still worshipped by culés after all lol. Cheating and fame seeking are hardly the worst things professional athletes have done.

Again it wouldn’t be so irritating if every single one of Taylor’s relationships wasn’t accompanied with propaganda about how her current boyfriend is not only the most perfect man ever but how it’s indicative of what all women want. No one said all women want a SpongeBob because Ariana dated one but both ONTDers and shitty thinkpiece writers online were going on and on about how women want men like Travis because Taylor dated him and it was indicative of a cultural shift towards women wanting masculine men. 🤢 I like men who don’t shove their elderly coaches but okay.

If that’s the case, I need Travis to discover that he loves privacy ASAP! And Taylor to rediscover that she loves privacy as well.

"h ONTDers and shitty thinkpiece writers online were going on and on about how women want men like Travis because Taylor dated him"

OMG which users wrote that??? I completely missed those comments!! I know some said he was cute but not that far???

"I like men who don’t shove their elderly coaches but okay."

LOL when that moment happened I knew the Swifties archived that moment to later use as a defense for Taylor for the eventual breakup!

"If that’s the case, I need Travis to discover that he loves privacy ASAP! And Taylor to rediscover that she loves privacy as well."

Never. He seems like the type to squeeze out as much juice as possible. He'll be fine post-breakup cause he book deals and still has his podcast.

Taylor will never have peace cause she doesn't want privacy, she wants power and control.

I don’t recall usernames anymore and honestly maybe some of them aren’t even on ONTD anymore because every time I look at an old ONTD Taylor post there are a lot of usernames crossed out or I haven’t seen in a while lol. It wasn’t as bad on here as on other websites to be fair. But I don’t think anyone’s taste in men has actually changed because of Taylor. There are women who’ve always been into very masculine athletes and always will be. People were saying Taylor dating Travis was a sign that women were moving on from the scrawnier less masculine celebrities like Harry Styles, Timothée Chalamet, etc but like no lol, in the real world with non Swifties all those men are very popular! I know people make fun of him on here but I have a bunch of Zoomer friends even though I’m a millennial through my siblings/my cousins/my workplace/etc and they’re all still genuinely obsessed with Harry. 🥴

Just so much propaganda around this being the ideal relationship and him being the ideal man because it’s Taylor. It’ll be rinse and repeat with the next boyfriend and the next relationship.

I feel like without this relationship and after the end of his career Travis would fade to the D list at least. He can still seek attention but it’ll be much easier to ignore and not just give the time of day. Taylor will always be famous but I do think her grip on Gen Z has weakened and she’s left with the same delulu millennial stans who will continue to live vicariously through her and will never leave her. She’ll be more bearable once the media stops promoting her and whatever her current PR angle is 24/7 and she’s treated more like a normal celeb than a goddess Voice of All Women Ever.
