What does that even mean?! She had Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton on this album. There are so many valid reasons to critique Beyonce and it blows my mind when people dodge that to come up with bullshit ones.

She's not apart of their community and they don't want to award outsiders. Despite that she's a Southern girl who grew up in Texas and had country songs on other albums.

She also performed Daddy Lessons with The Chicks years ago. Wasn’t that at the CMAs?? And people did act pressed about it then and they’re doing it again now.

Right! She even starts Cowboy Carter talking about that moment. To act like country music in general is operating in good faith in their arguments over this is painfully naive at best.
