The good thing about Joe for her public image was that he was quiet enough that people could project whatever they wanted onto him and fill in the blanks… but Travis constantly reminds everyone over and over how loud and annoying he is.

More beneficially he was an actor who tends to be in prestige projects that get awards attention which is the type of fame she prefers vs Travis is honestly a B,C-list type of celebrity. He's not above going the surreal life or shows of a similar vein.

I think Taylor wants something on par with her level of fame (even lbr she's not prestigious herself either just commercial successful).

Swifties keep hyping up Travis’s “acting career” but he’s headed straight towards Razzie worthy streaming fare, lol, and straight towards the C list. The only Chiefs player Americans who aren’t football fans will care about after retirement is Mahomes, not him. But you know what that’s perfectly befitting the Cats actrice.

I think she thinks she wants someone at the same level of fame as her but in practice I don’t think she can handle it, she wants to be the bigger one in the relationship.

Travis is clearly into having a good time and being household-famous rather than being prestigious which granted he’s always shown this.

See revisiting your first comment you have a point that Joe really was the more beneficial bf since he has the nice prestige but not showy enough that she’d still be the more famous one in the relationship. Lol Taylor fumbled !! She should’ve dialed back the fame and parasocial-ness and worked it out with him.

Travis is very, very close to crossing the line into being washed up which is why it’s so funny. They’re a power couple now but give it a few years if they even make it that long and it’ll be the classic useless man who does nothing with the woman who does everything relationship, which is funny because I read that’s exactly what Travis’s parents were like on lipstickalley. Unfortunately his mom enabled her husband and her sons - she was talking about how Travis doesn’t know how to cook or to clean at his grown age just the other day - and now her sons are going to turn out just like her husband. And people still think he’s a golden retriever feminist boyfriend. He’s a nightmare manchild lol.
