Matt, the creator of We Rate Dogs, walks through a dog park with Tim Walz and his rescue dog, Scout, while they talk about how good dogs are and why people should rescue. Tim also shares a story about Scout learning how to get treats from strangers at the park (he's a genius).

Scout has also been featured in Vogue.

Not to spoil a doggo post with politics, but I just really can't wait for Trump and MAGAts and just all Republicans to kick the bucket. I'm finding it hard to stay sane.

I'm exhausted by it all too. I know that even if tr*mp loses the gop rot will still be there, but I can't wait for the election to be over. 36 days to go.

10-years-ago me would be horrified that I'm legitimately at the "_____ needs to just straight up die" point.

No threats made, no actions considered, but a genuinely held belief all the same that there are some people who legitimately need to die for the safety of all mankind. I'm not proud of this, but here we are.

This weekend he was literally advocating for the purge.

Which, great, it's going to fucking turn into attacks against whatever minority group catches his addled brain on a given day.

That was literally insane. I was like did he just say that. Did he just watch the movies. We're all just going to pretend that didn't happen?!

Not just any Purge, but a purge lead by law enforcement.

Yeah it's not a Purge at all, he was calling for a kristallnacht.

More like Kristallnacht. Which is worse.

I'm going insane reading their awfully fucking stupid takes making headlines too. The majority of America laughed Sarah Palin's dumbass off, and rightfully so, yet Dump and his idiot VP regurgitate utter nonsense that they obviously took from whatever talking points the QAnon bozos are popularizing this week, and this election is somehow dangerously close. CLOSE!

I'm keeping myself sane by remembering that if he loses, there's no one in the wings to take over the party. It's going to be either incredibly fractured (party leadership is beholden to a bunch of hooting psychos hoping for a kristallnacht) or some racist hyper-dweeb everyone hates is going to attempt to be the figurehead. Even the republicans with support from mega-donors can't seem to deliver a speech without coming off as shove-into-a-locker material.

"No one in the wings" has happened before with dems, but the difference here is the dems weren't stuck with a base that hates anyone unwilling to be as abrasively racist as Trump. And if Trump loses, the message is going to sink in that they can't please that base and win.

Except the Trump cultists will still exist. And young men are becoming more and more radicalized. I just can't imagine them ever being normal humans ever again.
