anyway... i'm one of the lucky few to get my power back sooner rather than later in my county and it's crazy out there. there are uprooted trees down every other street. people in line for drive thrus on the street and out the door. very little food or gas. absolutely no one in upstate carolina was prepared for this.
I was lucky enough to just lose power for 12ish hours. I've got friends in Asheville and they're just now getting cell service back. One friend who moved back to where I am was just able to get a hold of her parents. The way she's laughing like it's a funny thing and a contest on who has been through worse natural disasters is wild to me.
They said my estimated power repair time is October 4th. But that’s just what they’re sending out to everyone so they’ll stop asking, I think. That’s their goal for the whole county.
I hope you get it sooner. Ours was estimated to be about the same. Then it popped on for a second on Saturday afternoon and 30 minutes later we were back. I still have some family without power though.
