Honestly it's what she deserves.gif re: Megalopolis. It's an absolute mess of a movie, and FFC has been completely tone-deaf and clueless about the entire thing through the entire press tour. I was thinking about Fury Road and how that too was delayed for decades and had everyone wondering if this one person's ~vision made any sense at all, except w/ that one it did. And no one got groped on the set, and no one complained about ~woke culture~ or whatever. So it's not an impossible task!!!

I rly wanna check out Lee and Will & Harper soon. But NYFF is this week and I shall be very busy! 🍿

It's a society heavily influenced by ancient Rome, which is why Adam has the stupid Caesar cut. (His character's name is even Caesar.) The hair is a visual metaphor for this entire film--it's not working, but someone stubbornly decided to go ahead with it.

LOL at Megalopolis. Sad that this is more than likely FFC’s last film. What a horrid, incoherent mess.

I’m gonna see The Wild Robot on Tuesday, the reviews have been good so far.

Meanwhile I rewatched The Return of the Kind in IMAX yesterday. I cried like a baby alsmost from beginning to the end. Those movies almost feel like old friends in a way.

I might go and see The wild robot soon.

Really happy that Lupita is seeing box office success with both her projects this year!

I was listening to The Town, their like Summer fantasy League episode, and the host said "Whenever she's in a movie, maybe bc she does so so rarely, it's a big deal."

Yeah, but I’m (very pleasantly) surprised that so many folks are willing to wait in between projects and show up to support.

Same! I've been reading TWR reviews and she's a standout. Not just a famous voice hired for animation, but she actually gives a performance. Same with Pedro.

Can't wait to see it next weekend. I really hope the movie has legs.
