reddit user @ asked "Who would you call the villains of pop culture?" and here are some of the answers, you can read the whole thing at the source.

- Perez Hilton. I remember when he was around sneaking in everything and just being toxic, I believe pop culture would’ve been a better place without him for so many artists.

- Simon Cowell. I don't think we'll ever know just how many careers he derailed and lives he ruined with his terrible management and lack of ethics.

- Ellen Degeneres, Oprah Winfrey (and all of the grifters she brought out into the scene), the awfully malignant anti-woman journalists like Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer. Ughh I was a kid but I remember how mean they were to women they interviewed and have since looked back and I now know I was right. Such evil people.

- The girls gone wild guy.

- Dr. Luke is definitely a villain in the music industry

- Jenny McCarthy and Piers Morgan come to mind.

McCarthy is basically responsible for the anti-vaccination movement gaining a modern foothold. She touted junk science and made a profit off it and has never acknowledged it. She has blood on her hands as far as I'm concerned. And as I have also been recently reminded, she was also willing to sexually assault a minor on stage and laugh about it.

Piers Morgan knew about the phone hacking being done by journalists in the UK and did nothing about it. He finally got canned from The Daily Mirror for authorizing faked photos. His creepy obsession with Meghan Markle, general bullying in interviews, horrible takes on everything from women in sports to mental health, he just can't stop being a loathsome human being. This is the dude who got people to think Jeremy Clarkson was a hero for punching him out.
