i think she/her team weren't equipped to handle her blowing up. i watched an interview with her recently and she was talking about how she had just done... idr if it was coachella? whatever her first festival ever was, and she was talking about how intense and stressful it was even though it was also obviously a positive experience. and then she said she was already booked for like 10+ ADDITIONAL festivals???? like omg WHY?!

i hesitate to place the blame on her for the clear behind-the-scenes disorganization going on when she's just, like... a girl. and no one person is innately capable of managing what her career turned into overnight.

i'm also obsessed with her album and would love to see her live, but i also know she has bipolar 2, struggles with suicidal ideation, and is going through A Lot right now with seemingly a fuckton of her fans interpreting everything she says in the least charitable way possible. so i guess my priority is that she stay alive regardless of how her professional reputation is affected by whatever steps she needs to take to do so (canceling shows, etc.)

i wish she would get a social media manager and a PR person so she didn't have to worry about interviews/public statements at all, lol

Ia she should get a social media manager. Demi Lovato did that and I feel like you rarely hear from her now unless she has a new album or project coming out, and she seems much happier for it.

I didn't know Demetria did that but good on her. Things were so messy :(
