That said I am begging Texans* to do the funniest thing possible and vote in Colin Allred so Ted Cruz can go to his passion of podcasting full time.

*I s2g people have been saying Texas is going to flip blue any election cycle for 20 years. PLEASE. I want to see it at least once.

lol I am a Canadian friend (hi neighbour!) and they've been saying this since I started seriously paying attention to politics which was circa 2003.

Every American election cycle they're like "We have to put in more money so the next cycle we'll get it!"

The Senate is always rough for the Dems as a general rule (due to the aforementioned undemocratic nature of it) but this election cycle we just got especially unlucky that the third of the seats up for reelection were ones that were going to be hard for Dems to hold onto.

She said she wants to kill the filibuster to protect abortion. And she'll have two R votes in Collins and Murkowski for that. So even if they lose the Senate 49-51 they'll have their votes.
