This article is such a reach, imo.

As a first game player, the WLF seem much more a what-if counterpart to the Fireflies. The Fireflies were also painted as terrorists in the first game by FEDRA, the difference is Fireflies got routed and WLF didn’t. But if the Fireflies had managed it, how would that have played out now that they have to be in charge? S1 actually kind of ripped some of WLF for their made-up Kansas City / Kathleen, I find that to be a better reference than what the author gives here.

Also, Dina is not what I would call the game’s moral center. She is Ellie’s moral compass / reality check, but there is a whole other half for Abby. There, the moral center is Lev, a Seraphite, and partly his sister Yara. I guess you can also count Owen, but real catalysts for Abby’s development are those two. And if Dina’s dialogue in the game counts as giving a sermon on the Jewish side, then Lev and Yara give you a dissertation on the Seraphites. Tbh, Abby, Lev, and Yara’s arcs are the best part of the game to me and the dust this article pays them is suspect as to its intentions.

I remember reading that article too and it got me heated up for a while, but in time, I realized the author was pushing their own narrative.

I agree with this so much.
