The Substance deserves a much higher box office!

I'm going to see The Matrix re-release at 3 with my friend but she invited her husband who 1.) is apparently already in a terrible mood and they haven't even picked me up yet and 2.) wants to sit in the far back corner. WHO DOES THAT?! Also we have to go eat lunch first. This was a mistake, I should have just sat 6 inches from my TV and watched it.

Randomly it was playing at a tribal movie theater next town over from me LOL. Six screens and one was playing The Substance so me and the one other lady in the theater are now bonded for life over what we saw.

I honestly wish Demi all the good things for The Substance. I haven't seen it, but - and I mean this in a good way - it seems a story that needs to be told and she's among the actresses that should be telling it

She's the right actress for it but the filmmaker was totally the wrong fit/not up to the task.
