It was such a wild ride watching it.
I have lived in Hawaii for 20+ years, so I moved here only 7 months before it premiered. Amazing how I never saw an episode before recently! I only agreed to watch it after a friend begged me to because 1) I am a huge fan of Michael Emerson and 2) I live here.
It’s crazy how many people were in it at the beginning of their fame or before they really got famous.
Watching it for the first time, it was a lot of fun seeing all these places I’ve just been to naturally over the last 20 years. And yet many that I haven’t and still need to explore. Looking at the Lost Wiki of filming locations, I even learned that they filmed up in my exact neighborhood for some flash back scenes with Sawyer. Back in January, we actually had the local chapter of my professional society’s conference at the place where The Others camp was. One of my cats is from where Jacob’s lighthouse was.
Favorite characters are really hard because there were so many over 6 seasons and so many good ones. My favorite female is by far Sun, with honorable mention to Juliet. Love Desmond (who still apparently lives here), Hurley, Sayid (before season 6 fuckery), Miles, and Jin, with honorable mentions to Sawyer (season 4-6), Locke, Ben, and Faraday. Oh and Lapidus - of course!
