Tia and Tamera are interesting to me, because of the two different paths they took into adulthood. Tia aligned with herself blackness. Tamera married a Fox News correspondent. I can see how they drifted apart.

What's also interesting is that Tamera and their mom pushed Tia into platonically asking Cory to move in with her. And then when they ended up dating, Tia would not let him kiss her until they'd been a couple one year. Also look at how fucked up Tamera and Taj are. Taj queen baits men, telling them he's straight and they can't have him. Tamera made a spectacle of herself on her wedding special, coyly asking other women "You guys...Am I supposed to be this sore the next day ? 🤭🥳" Something is not right with that fanily.

It gets stranger. She felt the need to recently announce in People they didn't sleep together until 5 years into the relationship.

Parents are both military/cops, don't seem especially progressive or even willing to acknowledge the realities faced by Black people in America, they seem more than a little extreme in their conservative evangelical values but frame it as loving/caring, and all of their kids were child actors who they managed. Any of those things alone is a big red flag to me, all that combined always mage sirens sound in my brain.

I always assumed the stuff we know about Tamera and Taj was rooted in being basically brainwashed into buying into self-loathing/sabotaging values, especially the idea that ever prioritizing your own needs/passions/boundaries/identity is selfish and a moral failing.
