Former “Riverdale” star KJ Apa has been cast as Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell in an upcoming Sublime biopic.
Justin Chon (Blue Bayou) is attached to direct as well as screenwrite. Bobby Hundreds is also co-writing based on an original draft by Chris Mundy. The biopic is in development under a Sony-owned studio.
Original Sublime band members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson - as well as the late Nowell’s wife, Troy Nowell, and son, Jakob Nowell - are executive producing alongside Francis Lawrence.
