Miley Cyrus was sued for copyright infringement after allegedly copying Bruno Mars in the creation of her Grammy-winning hit, “Flowers.”

According to court documents, Tempo Music Investments claims that Miley’s song shares “many musical similarities” to Bruno’s ballad “When I Was Your Man.”

“Any fan of Bruno Mars’ ‘When I Was Your Man’ knows that Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’ did not achieve all of that success on its own,” the lawsuit reads.

Bruno Mars is not named as a plaintiff as Tempo Music said that it owns a portion of ‘When I Was Your Man’ after they purchased it from the singer’s co-writer Philip Lawrence.
