In court documents, Chigvintsev has requested a judge grant him spousal support while terminating Garcia's ability to receive the same financial support.
Additionally, Chigvintsev has requested that Garcia pay his attorney fees and the court to determine putative spouse status for the duration of their marriage.
Garcia filed for divorce after nearly two years of marriage. The filing came nearly two weeks after Chigvintsev was arrested on a charge of corporal injury to a spouse.
In her initial petition, Garcia requested legal and physical custody of their son Matteo, with Chigvintsev being allowed visitation rights.
