I loved Bright Eyes so much and his music will always touch me but it's been so sad seeing that Conor is basically in that state every time he performs. I know he and Phoebe Bridgers have collabed a lot and performed together but I really hope that she steps back from doing any shows with him.

That is sooo sad. I wasn’t fond of his music, but I liked “when the president talks to god.

I'm lucky to have attended three Bright Eyes shows in the past where Conor was sober, but yeah he's a mess and there are rumors he treats all of his bandmates like shit. I'll never not love this album tho.

I never got into bright eyes but a few friends in college were conor fanboys. I know he has always battled his demons but this sounds like another level. That is so fucking sad.

That's really fucking sad, especially considering they've got a new album coming out in a few days and likely have a hell of a lot of promo lined up. Their newest single has been getting heavy play on my local alternative station. Wishing the best for Conor.

Oh man i was just listening to bright eyes today and wondering how he was doing now! That’s so sad. As someone who is an alcoholic in recovery I know how hard it can be. Jesus I can’t imagine if my blackouts were on stage.

i've been following the updates on r/brighteyes. they're my favourite band in the world, i'm seeing them in nov, and i feel so worried for conor. as someone in recovery it's hard to see that he's struggling and i don't want to just blindly say he's an addict or has issues but his brother died from alcoholism, there must be a lot of trauma there. it's really sad.
