I've actually begun seeing more of post-WW2 conflict movies, too. Still war movies, just not technically WW2.

I was going to comment, are we still going to be making ww2 movies fifty years from now? A hundred? When will it end lol I love learning about ww2 as much as the next person, but I feel like most recent ww2 movies just retread the same ground. I can only think of a couple that use a different perspective than white cis straight male, or a different event that hasn't been covered at all/often.

I understand being interested in the time period but I feel like they keep making movies about WW2 when there are so many other historical periods they ignore/don't pay much attention to.

Especially from the typical perspectives. This sounds like more Anglo-American wartime fluffing.

Now if it were a film about, say, the Yugoslav or Italian Partisans, I would actually be interested.
