i am soooooo sick of kpop/ other celebs getting endorsement deals and being known for their lewks but they don't otherwise engage with fashion at all

the red carpet host asked lisa about her look and she just said she wanted something "timeless, aaaand classic, and yeah! 😁"

sigh these girls are not cl or dara or g-dragon (gross as he is). it's so vacuous.

I wonder if it's different per group/management company that makes them care or if they genuinely do; like if they give any fucks because I've seen the Stray Kids go into length explaining what they like about their looks and why they chose it (or was chosen for them)

i hope so. like for as many brands as she reps i've never heard jennie say anything coherent about what she wears.

I can only speak for JYP and how they 'raised' the Stray Kids to come off like they're gracious and are actually informed on the Brand and its history (Hyunjin for Versace is a great example). Two members wore Tommy Hilfiger and even the one who wasn't a native English speaker said more than 'timeless, classic' and explained the details on their outfits.

come to think of it i can't recall hearing any of the ladies from twice talk about their brands outside of yt videos where they go to the fashion shows but they are enthusiastic & engaged in those

I always rme at her stans who claim she's this "muse" of Chanel, like... no. Ines de la Fressange was a muse. Claudia Schiffer, Kristen McMenamy, Freja Beha were muses. And though I hate to admit it, among the younger gen, KStew was more of a muse than Jennie ever will be.

Jennie was just the one of the four who happened to be chosen by the luxury conglomerate shareholders to front this particular brand; she could've just as easily been tossed to Gucci instead. There's nothing personality-wise that marks her as a "___ Girl" aside from being pretty, rich, and wearing clothing well.

I've seen Jisoo doing some stuff with the Dior archives but it mostly just seemed like her doing a promo for a free bag lol (which I ain't mad at her for!)

Jackson's doing fragrances with Armani but Team Wang's also putting out like a capsule collection, which honestly doesn't look like anything revolutionary but at least there's a level of creative direction behind it

Omg yesss there's a huge difference between the way girls like zendaya/hunter schaefer are having fun digging in the archives with their stylists meanwhile the 4th-5th gen kpoppies just show up in current season to look pretty :I
