Really?! I mean the Gen X part of course but I've really never followed him that closely. The most drama I remember is the rumour that Veruca Salt broke up because the two singers were fighting over him. I don't even know if that's true.

There was also the infamous Veruca Salt feud between Nina Gordon and Louise Post which, according to fellow bandmates, culminated in an all-out, knockdown, drag-out catfight which brought about a rather abrupt and violent end to the group. Nina Gordon moved on, but Louise Post couldn't (or wouldn't), and for several years proceeded to engage in an extremely bitter series of polemic attacks against her former bandmate, not only in the media, but through her ersatz Veruca Salt releases as well.

I’ve followed Veruca Salt for 25 years and I’ve never heard that Nina and Louise fell out over Dave, although that’s not to say it’s not true.

I do know Nina wrote Bones and a Name about Dave and it gives no hint of anything like that - if anything, seems like they were not close.

Here’s the tea on him. He was married shortly after Cobain died. He cheated on that wife with Louise from Veruca Salt. His first wife dumped him. He cheated on Louise with *allegedly* Winona Rider, so Louise dumped him. There were also rumors that Louise cheated on him with Gavin Rossdale, so who knows the truth. Over the decades since, there have been rumors that he had a fondness for dark haired petite women with tattoos, despite being married for 20+ years.
