She’s completely setting it up to do minimal work over the next few years.
Glad she’s healthy and seemingly recovered but man, what a luxury to completely disappear from the public when you’re literally going to be the next Queen of England.
Short term it's a good idea for her recovering immune system that she stays low key... but I won't be surprised if that remains the case long after it stops being necessary. (My guess is she will do whatever bare minimum of work is required to justify her turning up for the jollies like Wimbledon)
Cancer and its treatment take a tremendous mental and physical toll. Energy levels alone don't truly rebound for months after many chemotherapies, and sometimes people are given additional therapies for years. Some chemos also have prolonged effects (like peripheral neuropathy) that are invisible and quite painful. This isn't something most survivors want to share, but if someone "had" cancer treatment recently they are likely still going through a lot. I absolutely agree that it is a luxury to disappear - especially given her position - but we don't truly know the extent of what she's gone/going through beyond the carefully crafted image they have chosen to share.
