I think it’s really fucking tacky of MTV to have the totally irrelevant VMAs on 9/11. Like, they couldn’t just air another 24 hours of Ridiculousness on Wednesday and hold their stupid awards show on 9/12?

I'm not saying this to sound insensitive, but it's been 23 years-what should the moratorium be for events held on this date? I highly doubt there'll be a shortage of tributes or acts of remembrance in general.

Don’t mind me, I’m being a total hypocrite because I have no issue with events being scheduled for 9/11 in theory. Im just particularly salty about this specific event. I would probably feel differently if MTV hadn’t stopped airing music videos 20 years ago (and if the powers that be didn’t continue to make it a point to honor total garbage people with the Icon award). Something as insignificant and as meaningless as this particular event happening on 9/11 leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me feel a kind of way.

MTV has 3 24 hour music video channels on the Pluto app

That's actually more accessible than the cable channel since it's free

They use to have more(2019 to hey had a Halloween channel)

VEVO now has multiple music video channels on Pluto.

If music videos still aired non-stop on MTV, would you still watch? I'm gonna take a wild guess and say no, like most people, and just do it via youtube/etc.

To be fair, it was originally scheduled for Sept 10 but they moved it because of the debate.

gurl what? There's no shortage of events and things that happen on 9/11 every year now.
