A pet is sometimes a starter child. Then the real human child arrives and the pet suffers. My postpartum loathing of Lucky made me wonder whether I might be a late-onset psychopath. https://t.co/4Wb560IBGW

On August, the cut ran an anonymous article by a woman who, after having her baby, starts abusing and neglecting her cat, lucky, still under her care to this day. Both New York magazine and the cut are trying to cover their tracks and blocking anyone trying to talk about it.

The article details how the author wanted lucky to die after the birth of the baby, she claims she got lucky in her 20’s. After the baby, she would shove lucky away when she tried to nuzzle her, throwing a bra with throw up at lucky’s head, she also wouldn’t clean her litter box, feed her or then just pour excessive amounts of food that lucky would eat in short spans of time, provoking overweight and an inability to groom herself, so lucky developed grease and dandruff, causing lucky depression. By the time the baby was 2 months old, she began leaving her windows open in hopes of lucky leaping out of one of them to her “voluntary cat slaughter”, according to the author.

The outrage has been massive to the publications, that they decided to issue a statement with disabled comments and trying to silence people talking about this.
