September 7, 2024 Night 1 of the 76th Creative Arts Emmys took place last night. Here are the highlights with full list of winners under the cut.
Angela Bassett won for Best Narrator ("Queens").
Dick Van Dyke won Outstanding Variety Special for “Dick Van Dyke 98 Years Of Magic” making him the oldest winners at 98 years old. He recently became the oldest Daytime Emmy winners for his guest appearance on Days of Our Lives.
Netflix's "Beckham" won Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series. (The Emmy went to the producers, not David Beckham).
Maya Rudolph won Outstanding Voiceover for Big Mouth. Her 4th Emmy for this role.
Pat Sajak won Game Show host for his final season of Wheel of Fortune. The last time he won was in 1998.
As
previously posted, Alan Cumming took Outstanding Host, ending RuPaul's 8-year reign.
