it's so gross. not saying that hasn't already been said but to pick a rape apologist scientologist that denies mental health issues exist to replace your lead singer who was r*ped as a child and committed suicide is just

a whole choice.

that's rly what puts the nail in the coffin for me. how can you say you cherish the memory of your friend, when this is how you go forward? as if there aren't tons of great women vocalists out there that aren't pieces of shit!

and after his NFT bullshit + his solo floppage, this is so obviously a disgusting cash grab. their legacy should have remained untarnished (and i hope it gets to after this backlash). i hate that this is a mark on it though. it's so disappointing.

i didn't know abt the NFT thing, damn. i'll admit i haven't kept up much in a while bc it got very painful to listen to the songs. it's so bitter. i remember listening to the fort minor CD as a teen and learning through "kenji" of the japanese internment camps. that song blew my fucking mind, i didn't know music could do things like that. it's sad this is what it's come down to.

I admittedly checked out of following him after Chester passed, but I'm honestly shocked to hear this. I know I shouldn't be surprised, people are people and will always possess the ability to greatly disappoint you, no matter how much you hope otherwise, but I am and it feels genuinely painful. Chester's legacy is and will always be so much more than just his singing voice.
