So excited for the bee-nado lol, and Eddie’s storyline. I think it’s gonna be really good this season with the stuff they set up last year.
I realized I’m gonna be on a train when the first episode airs lol, CTV or whatever Canadian network airs this better upload it on demand right away haha

Buddies' reaction last season to Eddie's storyline last season was so insane and negative for no reason. I loved every single moment of his arc.

Agreed! It’s such an obvious set up that they couldn’t resolve in such a short season. That’s what the early renewal probably allowed them to space to do. I really liked the idea of Eddie forced to confront his unresolved grief over Shannon. Especially since it’s clearly setting up a lot of soul searching for him in this season. Us Diaz girls are gonna eat well!

Yeah! I really do think if the show hadn't gotten the early renewal, they would've tried squeezing in Eddie's coming out arc too. So I am glad it gave them the opportunity to breathe and slow down. It's a new world for Tim Minear and the writing crew. Being on ABC makes them a linearly produced show again + they're the network golden child? Like, damn, they had the film a commercial for the NBA finals 🥰

I’m so glad too!! Now we get a proper, non-rushed coming out arc for Eddie 🥰 and ABC is doing so well with buzz (pun not intended lol). I anticipate another early renewal tbh❤️❤️

I haven't been this hyped for television, broadcast or otherwise, in the longest time. 9-1-1 is on its eighth season and still going strong. Moving networks was a great move for the show. Even with ten episodes, you can the network has given them a lot more breathing room with their creative decisions, hence the show finally going forward with buddie.

Yeah, I agree! I watched all the previous seasons very quickly lol but the difference in networks is definitely palpable. And buddie finally happening, let’s drink to that! Thank you, ABC!!🥂

I really liked that storyline for Eddie at the end of last season. It could have been insane (and kind of was) but I loved that Tim was trying to parallel Vertigo and I thought the climax of that storyline resulting in Chris losing trust in him and leaving (even though the Diaz parents ARE THE WORST) was actually incredibly well done.

EXACTLY! it was great and I love that it left Eddie in this spot where he can really reflect on himself, and I also thought the Chris leaving was very well-done. I think it's a great place to leave him for season 8 (and also...coming out arc)

YESSSS. I really hope that the Shannon storyline is left now so he can move on and understand why he can never make it work with a woman/feels like his performing. It sounds like hopefully they're moving in that direction...

Yes!! I think this was what he truly needed to do in order to understand why he feels this way. Fingers crossed they don’t fumble this storyline but I have high hopes.
