Camila has made good on her threats and released a new single and music video for "GOODSPEED." It's another song about Shawn Mendes, ofc. The budget for the video was a beach and whatever change was left over from a run to Huahua's Taqueria. She also dropped a deluxe version of her flop album C,XOXO... but I won't be linking that one.
(
Oh my bad, here's the video... )
Why aren't the youth clinging to her? Its the Nick Jonas situation all over.

“I Luv It” - felt like a Charli rip-off. Charli’s Tik Tok making fun of it pretty much ended the song.
“Hot Uptown” - would’ve probably smashed thanks to the Drake feature but the Kendrick Lamar diss tracks ended any dreams of that and it was cancelled.
“He Knows” - only person people are probably more tired of besides her is Lil Nas X
“Dade County Dreaming” - a standout on the album but the JT and Yung Miami aren’t about to start promoting the song together so Camila is left to dance with Tik Tok users alone.
Besides the singles, the visuals didn’t really do anything. Her live performances also weren’t good. Her staged paparazzi walks with messages on her shirts was also cringe.

her shit is very try hard so a lot of the youth who's into the euphoria aesthetic probably sees her as a mirror of who they're desperately trying to be, not what they actually want to be.

Sabrina/Charli/Chappell are partly succeeding because their sound/aesthetic/vibe seems so genuine to them and their style/tastes.
