the first step to vinyl addiction, buying vinyl when you don't have a record player. WARNING SIGN, FRIEND. I've been there and now I have a full collection

Do you have a record player yet, though? I stalled out at the buying records part, so now I have a dozen albums I can only listen to on spotify instead of the vinyl i bought lol

I do! and tbh I canceled my spotify account. vinyl has totally changed the way I listen to music and for the better. like I only buy an album on vinyl if I love the WHOLE album, no skips, and so it's made me seek out the best whole album experience albums and just changed the way I seek out music. Playlist streaming life was just draining the spirit out of me for the most part. Having a new/used record store less than a mile from house helps, too. I go down there once a month on payday and pick out a few old used treasures for $8. Last time I went I picked up Tapestry by Carole King for eight bucks and it's basically a perfect album, and sounds amazing on vinyl.
