Andrew Scott's acting perplexes me.

I first saw him in Sherlock and thought he was awful, then in small parts in 1917 and Band of Brothers (too small to tell) then Ripley for 3 eps where he was the worst part by far and then about 1/4 of All of us Strangers this weekend and I don't get it.

I like his few interviews I've seen but the acting is basically unwatchable.

What am I missing?!?!?!? I'm perplexed.

I get where you're coming from. I felt like he was doing way too much in Sherlock but warmed up to him a lot with Fleabag. I really like him as a person but don't love his acting choices. He often comes across as calculated to me.

I didn't think he was Hot as the Hot Priest in Fleabag LMAO.

For many people "young" is considered "hot" when it comes to a priest. They're so used to boomer and beyond that a lack of wrinkles and gray hairs is ~attractive~

His acting hasn't straight up bothered me in anything but I also haven't considered it great in a lot of things. I think he was good in Fleabag, though. I didn't warm up to All of Us Strangers anyway and I'm not sure why but I think his acting choices impacted that. That said, he's very likable and that can get you far.
