Well, Control is very metroidvania in a way, and if you're into SCP/the X-Files it's worth a play (it takes about 15 hours and is fairly cheap nowadays, at least compared to AW2). Or if you don't want to play it, you can at least watch the musical number from Control that predates Herald of Darkness.

i'm not big on metroidvanias, but i have thought about trying it since it's on ps+. i just have a giant backlog right now i'm trying to get through.

If you're ever bored and have Hulu, he's on a couple episodes as a recurring character on the Hulu original show Deadbeat, but tbh the only episode worth watching is season 2 episode 9 because [Spoiler (click to open)]he is naked half the time he's on screen. I mean, it's blurred, but lmao he's jacked so it's nice to look at.

That Herald of Darkness song is so catchy, and the way it's placed in the game was so funny and perfect, I didn't mind that I kept dying at certain turns of the level cause it would restart the song lol
