We are partnering with Annapurna to co-finance Control 2. We hope you're as excited about what this means for our creative output and ongoing independence as we are.
We are also happy to announce that Annapurna will work with us on expanding the Control and Alan Wake franchises…

Since I said earlier that I guessed this post would get two comments - one comment and my reply - I am going to go ahead and preemptively reply to myself to ensure it gets at least one comment! And since I said it was Men in Tights-related, here is my related Robin Hood: Men in Tights gif for the one person who will get what I'm going for. That one person is probably me.

LMAO Matthew Porretta (the guy in the gif in the main post) played Will Scarlet O'Hara in Men in Tights and 31 years later it's still the only thing the media seems to know he was in (despite being the voice of Alan Wake).

The entire time I was playing it I kept wondering, "Why is this dude so familiar?!" And then I went to Wikipedia and went "OH MY GOD WHAT" but I think that is actually what happened to most people who played the game and grew up in the 90s. https://www.reddit.com/r/controlgame/comments/cyxw9c/i_present_to_you_dr_darling_appearing_as_will/
(And then somehow their minds were blown again when they didn't realize he was also the voice of Alan Wake and was in the Games Awards musical number and Twitter was like, "Dr. Darling?!" Yeah, Remedy likes to reuse the same actors in multiple roles even if those characters appear in each other's games.)
But if you want just his scenes (it's less than half an hour) you can watch them on Youtube, he's only in FMV and doesn't actually show up as an NPC LOL. Towards the end is the scene that was seemingly the biggest twist in the game and it's not even related to the game LMAO (well, it MIGHT be, but it's... uh... yeeeeeah.)

i won't watch yet, because i do want to try to play it, but thank you! i've been trying to expand on what games i play since i mostly play square enix ones. currently getting through the resident evils.

I don't know if it was Remedy's intention to make Dr. Darling such a popular character, but a good chunk of the fandom thinks he's the best character in Control (like me - I think he is LMAO).
[Spoiler (click to open)]It's weird, though, because as Darling, Matthew Porretta is hot, but then in IRL interviews + his many day player roles on various procedural shows where he has two lines he just seems like an average guy. Oh, and he was obvs hot in 1993.
This is not a spoiler, it's me being weird LOL.

Also, I do not recommend this show because it's straight trash, but it's free on Youtube if you are ever desperately bored.
[Spoiler (click to open)]ps don't google him too hard, because tbh he isn't very famous and instead somehow you get a bunch of news articles from his hometown paper about suing someone after he got hit by a glass at a bar, his actual home address, and um... How to put this... A news article that, if the age of his ex-wife was accurate, said she was 18 and he was 34 when she got pregnant with their first kid around the same time he was recast on the Robin Hood show.
and idk why I am still awake, but go to this link - https://tubitv.com/tv-shows/200034782/s02-e01-psych-sick - and skip to 18:30 and hold on for the most ridiculous 20 minutes of Lifetime you have ever seen.

Just in case no one ever saw Men in Tights (how dare you) here is the actual clip of that scene. Now go watch Men in Tights, you're 31 years behind the curve. Also they're making a sequel to Spaceballs, and I know of someone who is available for a Men in Tights sequel.
