Disgraced Lawyer Tom Girardi Found Guilty on All Counts of Wire Fraud
Click to viewThe famous lawyer who was the inspiration for the Oscar winning film Erin Brokovich and estranged husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Girardi was convicted on all four counts of wire fraud.
Girardi was accused of embezzling millions of client funds to fund an ostentatious lifestyle that was portrayed on the Real Housewives. Complaints about embezzlement stretched decades but were often brushed under the rug. In the past few years Girardi's Ponzi scheme of client funds began when co-counsel in the Lion Air plane crash case filed a complaint when he nor the next of kin of the tragedy had not received payment from the now defunct Girardi & Keese law firm.
