Taylor always listened to the first song ever released by an artist at the specific time the artist released it. She was always blown away by it. And also she was already a star when that happened a decade ago.

the thing is that i checked on wiki out of curiosity, because I never really followed Charli's career and... Stay Away doesn't seem to have charted? Neither did the album the song was on (like, they don't even seem to have it's wiki page). Her bio basically says that she blew up with Icona Pop's I Love it in 2012...?

Yeah her first album only sold like 100 units or something crazy low. People came back to it after i love it blew up but she wasnt known at all in 2011 unless you were following indie pop artists, i doubt taylor knew of her in that specific year lol

i really hate to defend taylor here but she is indeed a huge pop music nerd and does seem to listen to everything, especially by upcoming artists
sometimes i miss the times when she published ~real~ playlists (and not playlists as a marketing tool to promote her own songs and her own songs only)
