Ezra and Tokata are in a band together now and performing at Native American festivals :/ I saw some Native women reached out to the organizers of these festivals to ask them to not let Ezra (who sees themselves as a messiah to Native people) into that space but got ignored.

I suspect that the parents are afraid of losing Tokata to Ezra forever especially now that Tokata is an adult and the parents can’t stop them from being together, so dropped the charges.

I get the vibe they (Ezra) uses their identity as a shield or a way in to appear more sympathetic/abuse more people. Their behavior as an abuser is textbook misogynistic violence.

Supposedly they have told people that they know that they're not really non-binary. They just said that for PR or something. Again, supposedly.

I was really hoping that the Ezra was providing some kind of sibling relationship to a kid whose parents were not supportive of the kids identity. But that never appeared to be the case :(

I suspect the same. Especially with having lost a witness, it'll have weakened the case from a legal standpoint and they may well have judged that it's not worth pushing that battle if it loses them Tokata. So much of dealing with a loved one who's being manipulated is trying to maintain contact so the abuser doesn't successfully isolate them
