August 22, 2024 Almost seven years after it launched, Nintendo's free-to-play mobile Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is shutting down. While the current version of the game will be taken down on November 29th, 2024, players will be able to continue their progress in an offline version of the game requiring a one-time purchase.
Nintendo made the announcement today, giving players just over three months to wrap up things in the online mode of the game. "We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported the title since service began," Nintendo's message to players reads.
Despite the game nearing the end of its lifespan, the announcement added that it will continue to hold events and add items until the end of service.
I haven't touched this game in like over 2 years but still, noooooooo.
